Certifies low emissions of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) from materials, components, semi-finished and finished products. This certification is an additional quality tool useful for improving indoor air quality, providing greater safety for consumers and industry. Materials that comply with the certification requirements obtain the "CQA VOC LOW EMISSION" or "CQA VOC LOW EMISSION PLUS" mark, according to the UNI 11986:2023 emission classes. A single finished product or the whole product family can be certified.
How it works. CATAS inspectors visit the site annually to check productions and take products for emission testing. The duration of the VOC determination test is 28 days. The validity of the certification certificate is four years, subject to continued compliance with the requirements during annual surveillance activities.
