Declares the performances of coatings or coating systems for furniture used in hospitals and medical practices. The certification is based on the UNI 11780 standard "Hospital and Medical Office Furniture - Requirements and Test Methods" and assesses the ease and effectiveness of the cleaning and/or sanitizing characteristics in accordance with the cleaning and hygiene protocols laid down by healthcare facilities.

How it works. CATAS inspectors make an initial visit to the company, which is necessary to verify production control procedures and to sample the products to be analyzed. In order to maintain the mark, two inspections per year must be carried out at CATAS: one on the product sampled during the annual inspection and the second can be carried out by the company, if equipped.
