Certifies the exemption of panels produced with NAF (No-Added Formaldehyde) resins from the verification and testing programme required by CARB Final Regulation Order ATCM §93120.3(b) and in accordance with 40 CFR TSCA Title VI Part 770.17.

How it works. In order to apply for Exemption, the Company must send the request to the Certification Body, with information regarding the type of panel, the name and type of glue and the NAF resin emission data that must also include the results of three months of internal control tests, the correlation of the internal control test data with the test data of the primary or secondary method and the results of a test obtained by the primary or secondary method.
In order to obtain the EXEMPTION, 90% of the internal control test results performed in the three months and the test result obtained by a primary or secondary method must not exceed 0.04 ppm. Furthermore, all data must not exceed a value of 0.05 ppm for HWPW and 0.06 ppm for PB, MDF and thin MDF.
Once obtained, the exemption will last for two years.
No inspection visits are foreseen.
